Do Over!

Posted: November 18, 2010 in Reflection

Yup. I’ve called it. The quintessential “do-over” — Do over!

After a few weeks of reflection I have come to the conclusion that this blog needed a do-over. So, here it is. :)

I’ve deleted all prior posts and am starting anew with fresh thoughts and a much less hindered viewpoint. I’m tired of holding back. I’m tired of trying to please everyone. I’m tired of pretending. I’m tired of everything, basically.

We live in a world that despite the best efforts of the best people, we regularly get bogged down with societal “shoulds.” I don’t care what I “should” do anymore. I don’t care what I “should” think anymore. I don’t care if the whole world of “should” looks down at me as if I’m some outcast anymore.

I’m a good person. My real thoughts are valuable. I know who I am. I’m proud of who I am.

Take it or leave it. It’s your choice — and that’s the beauty of life in America — it’s always your choice!
(Except when it isn’t, but that’s a whole other post!)
